It is precisely in this context that the choice of Strenx® steel from the Swedish company SAAB, for our wheelchair lifts.

SSAB is the world's most experienced manufacturer of high-strength tempered steels.

Over the last few years, the steel market has undergone a revolution that has allowed us to develop products with weight / strength relationships once considered unattainable.

The latest generation of high-strength steels enabled this technical development. The availability of materials with increasingly higher yield stresses has allowed us to apply new design techniques aimed at reducing the thickness of the various components of the mechanical structure.

In the lifting sector, SSAB was the first steel mill to offer ultra high-strength cold-rolled structural materials. These steels, with dimensions even less than 2 mm thick, boast exceptional mechanical characteristics due to both the purity of the material and the extremely accurate production processes.

And precisely this extreme purity, the low solution of the alloy and the high quality processing processes of Strenx® steel are the secret to obtaining an alloy with high toughness, extreme resistance and excellent performance even at temperatures below zero. Cold rolling provides exceptional characteristics because the low surface roughness in conjunction with the extreme purity that characterizes all Strenx® steels creates the best conditions for high resistance to cyclic loads, such as those of a wheelchair lift.

Since Strenx® is more resistant than ordinary steel, it can be used in thinner dimensions and therefore create lighter structures.
This type of steel therefore represents the safe choice for robust and lightweight structures designed to operate in any type of environment. Thanks to its unique combination of strength, hardness, compactness and weldability, it exceeds the most demanding classification standards. The high resistance to low temperatures guarantees the highest degree of safety possible even in the most critical uses and in the most difficult environments.

The challenge of Fadiel Italiana was to design and build a lift, with a steel structure and aluminum decking, which was extremely robust but at the same time also the most compact and lightest in the world.

Strenx® high-strength structural steel was the answer to this challenge.

The result is today for all to see, a lifting device with very high resistance, with fine finishes and above all a total weight of less than 92 kg, a feature that not only benefits the technician during installation, but above all the customer who will have lower consumption of tires and shock absorbers, as well as less noise when driving.

It is with great pride that we can now boast of having been recognized by the SSAB company as an Italian excellence for the use of their special steels, and have become official members of My Inner Strenx, with much permission to affix the identification sticker of this type of steel on our lifters.

Being admitted as a member means having been evaluated and approved by SSAB after numerous inspections and strict quality checks.

The My Inner Strenx plate affixed to our lift is a certificate of quality and performance. The brand certifies to customers that the product was built to be robust and light, made of Strenx® structural steel and high-strength aluminum, in accordance with the design and specifications of the SSAB material.
